I switched. I’m rocking my new PowerBook G4 17″. I love it. Can’t believe I ever lived without it. But I still have this nagging thing in the back of my head. It’s my friends that swear macs suck. Well my friends read this then read this. Then I want you to shut up because your wrong.

    I am sporting my new PowerMac G5 and a PowerBook G3 here at Tech. I can’t say I converted, I’ve been using Macs since I was in pre-school. Congrats on the 17" PowerBook, that is a sweet laptop!

    Comparing Macs to Dells makes for nice numbers, but it totally misses the point that the PC world is a commodity market and you don’t have to buy from Dell. My new box is a Athlon 64 3000 with 2 Gigs of RAM, Dual-Layer DVD burner, 2×200GB serial ATA storage and a (forthcoming) Geforce 6600 GT. Total cost including shipping? $1100. Now, what will $1100 buy me in a Mac?

    Macs are better and faster and compared to an alienware system its about equal, i just don’t know what to do with a computer that works all the time.
