Daywalker

Hung out with Emery and Jessi last night and saw Blade 3: Trinity. I’ve always been a fan of this series and the Blade character from comics. This movie saw the introduction of the NightStalkers (with out Ghost Rider of course ) which is Blade’s support team in the comics and now in the movie.

This movie was a fantastic end to the series. I actually hope that this kind of ends the Blade trilogy and possibly picks up a new NightStalkers series. Ryan Renoylds played a much more sarcastic Hannibal King then I remember from the comics but it played off of Wesly Snipe’s Blade very well. What can I say about Jessica Biel? She’s hot and she kicks much ass here. This go around they added more character to Blade. Sometimes he was down right funny with some of his lines. My fav being when the discovered a human blood harvesting station.

Human: I can’t tell you…. they’ll kill me.
Blade: *Grabbing the human* Motherfucker, I’ll kill you.

My only complaint would be that the end game came in the form of a version of Dracula. While there telling of the origin of Dracula was interesting I just think it would have played out better with a different big bad. Along with that they touched on the fact that Dracula disappeared after generations of ruling over the vamps and then mysteriously disappeared. They then went on to say that they “thought” he vanished because he was sick of what the world was becoming but they never really cleared up the why.

All in all I loved the move for it’s pure brute force action and that’s all I really cared about when it comes down to it.
