Grand Opening? Grand Closing!
I’ve almost been in my house for one year. It will on the 29th of this month. One of the main reasons for actually purchasing this house was the promise of a park outside my windows. After several months of being complete and setup today is finally the day that we get to start enjoying our park, The Reston Town Square.
Tonight is grand unveiling that will include the handing over of the property to Robert E. Simon (founder of Reston) as well as some live music and a fireworks show. It’s actually quite exciting as the history of the park goes back about 5 years. Even the guy that designed it is exciting, Hideo Sasaki is the guy that is currently designing the layout and feel of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. I envision when everything is said and done at the Town Center that this will be our own little Central Park.
So if your in Reston, I’ll be hanging out my window watching the band and the fireworks.
