Randominess is fantasticness.
April 26th, 2006

I was gonna do individual posts for this stuff but I decided that they really didn’t deserve individual posts really. Not that it diminishes the importance that is this post but really it would have just filled up your RSS reader needlessly.
Plus if your using FeedBurner + Newsgator Syncronization, it’ll probably take 2 days for all the posts to come through. If the apps didn’t work so seemlessly this way I’d dump them both but really it’s my only gripe with the service. Check it out if your running into issues of maintaining your blogrolls across multiple systems and/or platforms (I have my work reader, home reader, mac reader and a mobile reader).
- If your a fan of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart then check out The Show from Zethink vidcast of news bits from all over the web. Sometimes he can be spot on with his reporting but will then fall into being a 10 year old. So yeah, complete winner in my book. via: daringfireball
- Looks like I’m not gonna make the CSS Reboot for Maylike I had hoped. I really haven’t been to motivated to come up with something. That’s not to say I’m not gonna try but in all honesty I haven’t progressed past what is on the entry page.
- If you use the real site and not my RSS feed then you’ve seen my weekly charts from my last.fm account. Well not at the moment as I’ve pulled it. Anyway if you had seen it, it would be reporting that I’ve been heavily listening to the new album from The Raconteurs and The Streets (more “The” bands..). I can’t really stop listening to either one very much. The Racontuers is the brain child of Jack White (White Stripes) and Brendan Benson (Brendan Benson) and they have a great indie rock feel. With lines like “You’ve had too much to think, now you need a wife” in “Steady as she goes” to the straight out of the 70’s title track “Broken Boy Soldier”. On the flipside there is The Streets, which is really just one guy named Mike Skinner. His raps are both fantastic 5 minute stories that are put together with the most amuteurish sounding prose along with some fabulous beats. This album is a bit more “singy” then his last two albums but it’s still very good.
That’s about it for this random bits update.
