It’s not my fault.

I had nothing todo with this

Looks like Brent will be joining the growing legion of Mac owner’s that I know. I just want to state for the record that I no way influenced this purchase by showing off my MacBook.

You guessed it, I am also no capable of running Universal Binaries too. I ended up selling my PowerBook to someone at work and using that money to get the new 17″ MacBook Pro off of eBay for even less then the educational discount. So far I’m very impressed with the minute changes that have been made from the PBook. The speed is definetly faster then the old G4 but I haven’t fully put it through it’s paces that will happen when I finally fire up World of Warcraft soon.

The backlite keyboard is probably 10x’s brighter then the old PBook and the resolution is so much cleaner now. I’ve watched several HiDef trailers on this thing without even a small stutter.

Hopefully I can get sometime to start learning Objective-C and develop a couple demo applications. I’m taking suggestions, is there any app that is on Windows that is preventing you from getting a Mac?

Since I own one, I can’t say these are "preventing" me, but I can say they’re preventing me from ditching my windows box:

1. Newsbin Pro
2. Ultraedit
3. Topstyle
4. The assorted low-level DVD tools.
5. TidyMp3 (command-line tool that strips every non-mp3 bit from a file, handy for removing non-standard tags)

The list keeps getting smaller, but until its gone, the windows box stays.
