Wow.

November 23rd, 2006

So we finally got back from Georgia early Wednesday Morning and after unpacking and getting some sleep we broke open the Wii as soon as we could.

My first impression (and still) is that this is going to be a fun system to play. Matter of fact, I think if I had to use one word to describe it so far, it would be “fun”. Jessi and I went through the Wii Sports pack-in game and had quite a good time. Jessi then switched over to Rayman and from there it got a bit sketchy.

We didn’t have any issues with the Wii-mote at all during Wii Sports but for some reason while playing Rayman the controller was going nuts. I’ve not really done any research to find out if it was because of possible interfearance from something in the house. It really didn’t make the game that much fun to play.

I’ve not cracked open Zelda yet but I probably will this weekend.

As for the PS3, two of my orders have been canceled so far but I did get my Circuit City order 5 days early yesterday. So sitting on my coffee table is an unopened PS3 + Extra SIXAXIS controller waiting for it to be bought on eBay. Of course the demand is dropping and I’m hoping to get in atleast on the trail end of the wave to make some profit. I got to play it a bit at Target and while being very impressed with the fact that MotoStorm was all in real time, it was very VERY slow. After being so psych’d about how fast that game looked at E3, I’m very dissapointed about how slow this thing looks. It could be because it was early on in the game but I walked away thinking, “eckkk”.

Anyway, hope everyone has a good Turkey Day.
