Stupid Valentines Day is f-ing up my Poker Game.

Wednesday is Poker night. It has been for sometime now. Valentine’s Day is also this Wednesday. I’m trying to figure out why I should not have my weekly game.

I mean, Valentine’s Day is another Hallmark Holiday. I don’t mind it that much (reminds me of Rance’s explosion last year about V-Day) but why can’t I get a exchange gifts, some flowers and then get dinner and around 8–9pm head out and with my friends and take each other’s money?

Why does it have to be an all night affair? It’s not like we all are in newly minted relationships, some of us have been with our SO’s for 5+ years.

How about this? Consider it your V-Day gift to your SO’s when you let them play.

Anyway, Feb. 6th 2006 marks my Poker-versary. The first game I played (outside a few free games online) was at Hoover Bowl 2k6. Hoover knocked me out the first round and then Shahid took me out in the second round. Since then, I’ve yet (I think) to take Hoover out of a game and Shahid hasn’t played since then.

I think I’ve sort of improved my playing style but I’m not totally convinced that I can play online with real money, which could get really dangerous based on family history. All in all, it’s been a fun distraction and source of some good times sitting around the table with my friends.

"Since then, I’ve yet (I think) to take Hoover out of a game"

i think that is true…and from this point on…even during a Degree all-in moment, I will hold back enough to play one more hand if I lose to you…

    muahahahahahaha
