The DJ Khalid track is pure ringtone but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I play it loud and often.

Anyway, to clean that out of my ears from time to time I’ve been enjoying the Ellie Goulding album pretty much nonstop since I got my hands on it. Pure pop gold right there. I’m not sure if “The Writer” will be making it on the singles chart but it should, definitely tops for me. Follow that with the sickly sweet fun. track..

Murs & 9th Wonder are dropping a new disc in the next few weeks and after hearing this single, I’m pretty excited for it regardless of how I think Murs lyrics have fallen off recently. THREE and Skyzoo deserve time on your iP(od|hone) if you are at all interested in good hip-hop, well mostly Skyzoo. Even though his debut dropped last year, I’m just now hearing about him and I’m kinda disappointed that it took me this long.

On the electronic tip, we got the usual smattering of Dubstep remixes. This time from Foamo and Breakage.

And yes, there is a Dubstep remix of the Mario Theme.

Fuck yeah there is.

Anyway, with the upcoming Snow-pocolypse we are going to have in the DC area, I cut the list a little bit short for this go around. I hope to be doing these more frequent but for right now, real life is getting in the way.

There are a few tracks on here that should get you grooving a bit too, hopefully they can keep you warm with all the dancing you’d be doing. Unless you don’t dance and then, well that’s just lame.

My current obsession is with Local Natives, the album is rock solid and should be purchased [convenient Amazon link provided here]. Don’t get thrown off by all the weird moaning at the beginning of the track, the rest is great.

The B.o.B. and Yelawolf tracks are off their mixtapes which are freely downloadable on the internets and linked below. Also from a free mixtape is the SUPERB track from Mr. Dibiase. The mixtape is called “Loopy Jazzist” and is full of fantastic jazz inspired beats

Finally, intermingled in the Dubstep tracks is Vishis. This is the brother for Royce da 5′9′ and has a bad-ass flow to him. Seriously can’t wait for a mixtape or full album to drop, I hope for big things from this guy.
