Molten Gravy Train of Pleasure [Mix]

Thanksgiving is over, so now I don’t have as much rage when I see Christmas decorations.

Enjoy these fine tracks. I love the Karen O cover of Immigrant Song for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, it may be my second soundtrack purchased this year (Drive being the first).

Seriously, the lead singer of The Correspondents. That voice is awesome.

Is Korn still a rock band? There latest disc all feature Dubstep/Electro collabs (Noisia, 16bit, 12th Planet). Oh, and it’s actually one of the best albums they have done in a some time.

Fuck yeah! The Silversun Pickups are coming with a new disc next year!

Scummy Money [Mix]

It’s 11-11-11 or for our European friends 11-11-11.

Or for the computer’s out there, absolute true. Cool, eh? Yeah, I don’t think so either. But hey, it’s going to take a century before it happens again.

Have you seen the new Duck Sauce video? Awesome.

It was a pretty Hip-Hop heavy week for me. The fact that Childish Gambino’s and Drake’s new albums both leaked this week probably set it in motion. While Drake’s was good, Childish Gambino destroyed. I can’t really recommend it enough. Oh shit, a new Ludacris track? Yeah, he’s got a mixtape dropping soon-ish. No surprise it’s a track about how much richer he is than me. Still good to hear about some new Luda coming..

Speaking of, has anyone looked to see how many big albums are coming on the 15th? Drake, Childish Gambino, REM Best Of, Gym Class Heroes, Tegan & Sara and Los Camposinos to name a few.

Keep an eye (ear?) on Charli XCX.. Oh my, that is some delicious Eurozone Pop music. So good.

We built this city on coal and gold.

First off, congrats to The Hoovers on the new edition to their family this morning.

Now for this weeks picks.

DOOMTREE has a new single! New album coming in November. That Gauntlet Hair track is an older one but I’m hi-lighting it because there is a new track out from them but I think this is better.

Who else thinks that an actual robotic pirate monkey would probably be the coolest thing to ever exist ever?

That chorus got the crowd screaming..

Here it is, the end of another week. I’m surprised I even had time to curate a list this week (yeah, yeah, so I didn’t get to it for 2 months.. ) based on my work/life schedule. While, it doesn’t seem to be slowing at all, at least fall has finally arrived. I’m anxiously awaiting the best part of the year (IMHO so STFU).

Anyway, what the hell is on the list this week? Oh, Nick Lowe makes an appearance. Why? Because he we was on an episode of All Songs and I liked the song that they played. Pretty Lights remix of John Denver is on there. Went to see Pretty Lights at the new Fillmore East the other night and it was a good show. The real star was the venue, which boasts a VIP section and season passes. Definitely “THE” place to see shows in the DC area. Anyway, I would have preferred to put up his remix of Kanye’s, All of the Lights but Joe kept raging about how this remix was the shit. I’m not sold, but since he didn’t play it at the show I figured this wins. For now.

It’s no secret that I luvre The Weeknd. He remixed Florence & The Machine. ‘Nuff said.

Theophilus London’s, Why Even Try had me swaying in my chair at work to the point that I think some people noticed. Catchy, with that 80’s vibe through out.

UK Hip-Hop represented this week too with new tracks from Professor Green and Sway.

Also, did you know that Frigidaire has an oven with a dedicated “Chicken Nugget” button?!

ON THEIR PROFESSIONAL LINE.
